ABOUT US

The National Association of Park Foundations is the trusted national leader in providing knowledge, skills and capacity to local park foundations, volunteers and other citizens who work to enhance and strengthen park systems in their communities.

The National Association of Park Foundations vision is to build effective, active, local park foundations, volunteers and other citizens that support their park systems to enhance the park experience in their communities.

"The Wisconsin Park & Recreation Association and its membership agencies have truly benefitted from all of the statewide presentations that the National Association of Park Foundations has provided to date.  It is critical for our membership agencies to have community support if their park and recreation services and operations are to continue and to be enhanced in the future.  NAPF has shown how important it is for Foundations to be created to assist in generating needed support funding, as well as to strengthen those that have Foundations, but have been struggling with their purpose and funding contacts.  NAPF is the answer!"

"Our agency is eager to be a part of the new National Association of Park Foundations. Our intent is to help our own Park Foundation grow and develop. As funding for improvements and projects decrease, it is imperative our foundation become more active and supportive for the initiatives on the horizon. This seems to be the perfect fit to re energize and engage the foundation leadership. We are thrilled to be part of this new and much needed association."

"The Clarendon Hills Park District Foundation is currently working through the IRS Retroactive Reinstatement process. Working with the National Association of Park Foundations has simplified the process for us in a very professional manner. The Association's attention to detail is impressive and persistent. We are proud to be charter members of the National Association of Park Foundations and look forward to working with the Association through our upcoming board development and strategic planning sessions."

"The National Association of Park Foundations is setting a real benchmark for expanding the outreach efforts of park districts and their park foundations nationwide. We (The C.H.A.M.P. Within program) are proud to be selected as a signature outreach program of the National Association of Park Foundations. Already, with the Association's help, we have expanded our program to touch the lives of teens and single parents in areas throughout the U.S."

"The Addison Park District Foundation has been established for several years as a charitable corporation in Illinois in cooperation with the Addison Park District. With the assistance of the National Association of Park Foundations, the Addison Park District Foundation has successfully completed the application process to secure IRS charitable designation, incorporated the C.H.A.M.P. Within educational outreach program, and is currently recruiting and strengthening our volunteer board of directors. We are very proud to be members of the National Association of Park Foundations."
